Adriel Garcia

She has been acting and singing since she was 8 and plans to major in Musical Theatre in College.  She is also a member  of Actor’s Playhouse Musical Miracles, takes piano and studies Classical Voice and has performed professionally in many venues including the Broward Center for Performing Arts & is glad Mr. Garcia came to Flanagan.  Caitlin is also President of  our Thespian Troupe, a Honor International Thespian, and a member of Model U.N.

Megan Havner—Thespian Vice President

Megan has always loved performing and started taking acting lessons at age 11, soon followed by voice lessons.  She has been involved in FHS Drama since her Freshman year and is also a Thespian. In her Sophomore year she was the Thespian Treasurer.  She plans to major in Musical Theatre and Costume Design in college.

 Adriel Garcia has a Bachelor of Music with a specialization in Musical Theatre from Barry University and  is currently pursuing his Masters Degree from Boston University. He holds Florida Educators Certifications in Drama and Music. Currently he is the Superintendent of Voice for the Miami-Dade County Fair and Expo and serves as a Judge for the Drama competition annually. He has been a Drama Instructor/Director,  Music Director, Vocal Coach and choreographer for Show Time for Kids, Camp Shalom of Central Florida,  Marchant Academy, Hialeah High School, Coral Glades High School, Doral Carter School, Miami Dade Community College  North, and The Theatre Institute.

 
Mr. Garcia has sat on the Judge’s Panel numerous times for South Miami Middle Center for the  Arts Drama and Vocal Magnet Programs. He is currently a Voice and Musical Theatre instructor at Academia Rashel and maintains a Private Studio where he coaches singing and acting.

His professional performing career began at the Miami Shores Theatre where he played a sailor in South Pacific. Throughout the course of his career he has performed lead roles in production shows "Fast Forward" and "History Repeating" aboard the Explorer of the Seas with Royal Caribbean International. Mr. Garcia is currently a chorister for the Florida Grand Opera.
